A 10 minute walk (uphill) or 2 minute drive will take you into the picturesque hilltop village of Brill with breathtaking views in all directions. The Common, a fascinating feature of the village, is home to one of the oldest post-windmills in the country and is open to visitors on Sundays throughout the summer or by private arrangement. Facilities within the village include a general store, a newsagent’s, post office, two butcher's, two pubs serving lunch and dinner, a sports & social club, two churches, multi-use games area with tennis court and a recreation ground with children’s playground.

Set in the heart of England, Ox House is idyllically and ideally located. Six miles away is the pretty Market Town of Thame with a host of independent retailers, a lively and colourful market on Tuesdays and a choice of 3 supermarkets. Bicester, a market town also, is now better known for its Designer Outlet Shopping Centre open 7 days a week. For a more cultural experience the National Trust Properties Waddesdon Manor, Claydon House, Stowe and Boarstall Duck Decoy are nearby, and the historic and fascinating City of Oxford is only 12 miles away. Also on our doorstep is The Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, frequently visited by Thomas the Tank Engine and Waterperry House and Gardens which is host to the hugely popular Art in Action event in July.
